A Personal Reflection on Worry

I worry a lot. About

a lot of things. Generally

about things I can’t control.

How I have been perceived.

Whether I’ve made the right

decisions regarding my personal level

of involvement in the Ontario

Colleges strike. Whether my business

is moving in the right

direction. Whether my business intentions

have evolved. Whether I’ve made

enough progress on my book.

Whether I’ll have enough money

to keep teaching 400 kilometers

away from my family. Whether

the work I do is meaningful.

I know I have the

luxury of being able to

worry about these things with

a roof over my head

or on a city trail

while I walk my dog.

Not everyone is so lucky.
