Dear Friends,

 

It is February 28th and I am sitting  on the back porch of Studio Be, writing this letter in a sweater, jeans, and cotton socks (hardly the uniform of an outdoors person, right?), listening to the sparrows and chickadees chatter in the cedar bushes that fence in the back yard. Trip Report: Winter Camping at Mew Lake – 2016 Edition

Early in December I received an e-mail from a friend looking to organize a women’s winter camping trip in January for Mew Lake or Frontenac Provincial Park. Lyn had the four-person Snowtrekker tent, the stove, and the sleds to hike in. We only needed to bring food and our own personal gear to round out the rest.

 

We ended up with a mixed group on the coldest weekend in February and had a blast.
