Carlyle and Johnnie Lakes

My second canoe trip of the season for Wild Women Expeditions.

Women & Girls Canoe Trip through Carlyle and Johnnie Lakes:

Preparations

I drove up to Sudbury Thursday morning, meeting my co-guide Sam at Jenny’s. We grocery shopped, organized food, and packed group gear together, finishing up by 3pm. All ready to go for the next morning!

  • Tents, tarps, camp kitchen, toilet kit, expedition first aid kit
  • Food for 6 people for 3 days, water filtration + Aquatabs, waterproof barrels

New route! We met the women & girls and George Lake before caravaning to Killarney Outfitters and then back to the Carlyle Lake Access Point.

The girls looked for their wish boats that set sail Friday night, before setting out for Johnnie.
