Short Reflection: It’s Time

it's time

It’s time, time for a night outdoors to clear the barrage of bad news out of my head for a few hours: jaw-dropping soundbites, careless salvos of false information shot off into the ether for billions to read in wonderment and disbelief.

The biting night air might not shield me from the heartache as I read about yet another marginalized member of the human race fight to survive in the society we the privileged have created. The forest may only serve as a sanctuary for a brief time but might be the time I need to figure out my role in the healing process, to formulate a plan, to lend my voice and my hands to those who need it most.
